Towne Lake MD
Towne Lake Management District is a political subdivision of the State of Texas created effective June 15, 2007, pursuant to House Bill 4045, during the 80th Texas Legislative Session. The House Bill was later codified as Chapter 3839 of the Texas Special District Local Laws Code. Towne Lake Management District is part of the Towne Lake Development in Cypress, Texas, that consists of several municipal utility districts; and encompasses the area known as the Boardwalk at Towne Lake.
Towne Lake Management District was created for the purposes, among others, of promoting economic development in the area; providing funding to preserve, maintain, and enhance the economic health and vitality of the property within its boundaries as a community and business center. It assists with marketing and promotion of the Boardwalk at Towne Lake, and its mission includes providing pedestrian ways, enhanced landscaping, and certain non-standard scenic improvements to roadways and structures in the district. Towne Lake Management District maintains such non-standard improvements in partnership with Harris County.
